Paws 4 Thought Dog Training School

Before I came to France I attended various courses on puppy socialising and the benefits of this for the puppy and eventually the adult dog. I became more and more interested in dog physiology and moved on to courses in training with the understanding of why we do it and how the dog understands it. I was able to put into practice all that I had learnt with my own puppy at the time, a black Labrador called Tarka. I began to work at weekends and then a couple of evenings a week.

Training and socialising classes for all ages are available. The school uses the positive reinforcement training method in all groups with a friendly and non-competitive environment. The school operates from Monday to Saturday, training sessions running morning and afternoon.

Also available are one to one sessions if you have a particular training / behavior problem that you would like help with. These sessions are very flexible. I am able to offer a 2hr assessment session where a full history of your dog will be taken and you will be given a written programme to follow and a date made for a return visit to the school after a couple of weeks to check progress!!

There is also the possibility of regular weekly sessions on a one to one basis.
I also make home visits if necessary.

Dog Agility

These sessions are on Wednesdays starting in the morning with the intermediate group and continue all day covering the whole range of abilities; real beginners to advanced!

Puppy parties available, starting September 2009.

One to One sessions at your home or at the training centre in Chassenon.
